But I think I'll just leave it be, I'd rather have a cooler more quiet machine and I'm honestly not comfortable with opening up the laptop, I had a cheap cooling pad before but the fans broke, honestly did not help much but with an icepack I'm sure it would.

The CPU and GPU usually now stay under 80 degrees. 1.6ghz emans it will stay at 1.6 ghz if the pc is idle and it can go upto to 4.2ghz for a really short period of time and not all core will reach 4.2ghz only one core in your cpu will go 4.2 ghz. The thing is, even with my GPU overclocked with +133 and +200 Mhz. Well look what it did, my temps lowered significally and my FPS was boosted a lot, you can really see that if you watch this video in 60 fps and look at the numbers.

I then downloaded a free program called "throttlestop", and then inactivated the so called "turbo mode" on my cpu meaning it stays on 2,5 GHz no matter what. You would think that this would HELP the performance, BUT actually it had me fooled. (meaning that when gaming my i7 4710hq goes up to 3,5 GHz from 2,5 GHz) I was using the "turbo boost" mode before which is activated by default on my Asus R555jk.
